Investing.com – Spain stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Madrid, the gained 0.12% to hit a new 5-year high.
The best performers of the session on the were Grifols SA (BME:), which rose 3.09% or 0.30 points to trade at 10.15 at the close. Meanwhile, Corporacion Acciona Energias Renovables SA (BME:) added 2.60% or 0.54 points to end at 21.34 and Fluidra (BME:) was up 2.07% or 0.48 points to 23.62 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Banco de Sabadell SA (BME:), which fell 4.80% or 0.10 points to trade at 1.91 at the close. Unicaja Banco SA (BME:) declined 4.00% or 0.05 points to end at 1.15 and Caixabank SA (BME:) was down 3.92% or 0.22 points to 5.44.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 111 to 73 and 29 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.86% or 23.10 to $2,671.80 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.99% or 0.67 to hit $68.34 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 0.77% or 0.55 to trade at $71.64 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.18% to 1.12, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.02% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.02% at 100.22.
