Investing.com – Spain stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Madrid, the added 0.24%.
The best performers of the session on the were Grifols SA (BME:), which rose 3.88% or 0.34 points to trade at 9.22 at the close. Meanwhile, ArcelorMittal SA (BME:) added 1.61% or 0.33 points to end at 20.87 and Acerinox (BME:) was up 1.48% or 0.14 points to 9.27 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were SOLARIA ENERGIA Y MEDIO AMBIENTE (BME:), which fell 1.93% or 0.22 points to trade at 11.19 at the close. Acciona (BME:) declined 1.22% or 1.50 points to end at 121.00 and Telefonica (BME:) was down 1.08% or 0.04 points to 4.04.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 118 to 72 and 26 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.23% or 5.80 to $2,544.80 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 1.13% or 0.83 to hit $72.34 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract fell 0.87% or 0.67 to trade at $76.53 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.14% to 1.11, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.19% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.23% at 101.07.
