Investing.com – Spain stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Madrid, the added 0.99%.
The best performers of the session on the were Caixabank SA (BME:), which rose 2.92% or 0.14 points to trade at 5.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Enagas (BME:) added 2.71% or 0.38 points to end at 14.41 and Ferrovial (BME:) was up 2.25% or 0.80 points to 36.36 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Telefonica (BME:), which fell 3.68% or 0.15 points to trade at 4.00 at the close. Laboratorios Farmaceuticos ROVI (BME:) declined 2.29% or 2.00 points to end at 85.20 and Corporacion Acciona Energias Renovables SA (BME:) was down 1.46% or 0.30 points to 20.24.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 118 to 68 and 32 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for August delivery was up 0.66% or 15.35 to $2,344.35 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 0.78% or 0.62 to hit $80.34 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract rose 0.81% or 0.68 to trade at $84.93 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.08% to 1.07, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.11% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.08% at 104.86.
