Investing.com – Spain stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Madrid, the added 1.04%.
The best performers of the session on the were Grifols SA (BME:), which rose 3.38% or 0.27 points to trade at 7.94 at the close. Meanwhile, Banco de Sabadell SA (BME:) added 2.83% or 0.05 points to end at 1.82 and Banco Santander (BME:) was up 2.70% or 0.12 points to 4.39 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Industria de Diseno Textil SA (BME:), which fell 0.99% or 0.46 points to trade at 46.26 at the close. Laboratorios Farmaceuticos ROVI (BME:) declined 0.86% or 0.75 points to end at 86.80 and Fluidra (BME:) was down 0.72% or 0.14 points to 19.38.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 143 to 56 and 22 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for August delivery was down 0.07% or 1.60 to $2,338.00 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 1.77% or 1.44 to hit $82.98 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract rose 1.62% or 1.38 to trade at $86.38 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.13% to 1.07, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.09% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.04% at 105.59.
