Investing.com – Spain stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

The best performers of the session on the were Grifols SA (BME:), which rose 9.70% or 0.87 points to trade at 9.86 at the close. Meanwhile, International Consolidated Airlines Group SA (BME:) added 1.96% or 0.04 points to end at 2.08 and Mapfre (BME:) was up 1.71% or 0.04 points to 2.14 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were SOLARIA ENERGIA Y MEDIO AMBIENTE (BME:), which fell 3.57% or 0.42 points to trade at 11.36 at the close. Inmobiliaria Colonial SA (BME:) declined 3.34% or 0.19 points to end at 5.51 and Repsol (BME:) was down 1.84% or 0.26 points to 14.10.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 102 to 99 and 21 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for August delivery was down 1.51% or 36.25 to $2,361.45 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 0.99% or 0.82 to hit $82.34 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract fell 0.88% or 0.76 to trade at $85.78 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.03% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.07% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.07% at 104.62.
