Investing.com – Spain stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Madrid, the lost 0.13%.
The best performers of the session on the were Puig Brands SA (BME:), which rose 2.49% or 0.60 points to trade at 24.70 at the close. Meanwhile, Grifols SA (BME:) added 2.05% or 0.18 points to end at 8.88 and Corporacion Acciona Energias Renovables SA (BME:) was up 1.56% or 0.32 points to 20.88 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Sacyr SA (BME:), which fell 1.32% or 0.04 points to trade at 3.13 at the close. Acerinox (BME:) declined 1.19% or 0.11 points to end at 9.13 and Repsol (BME:) was down 1.17% or 0.15 points to 12.69.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 128 to 59 and 24 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.09% or 2.30 to $2,543.60 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 0.48% or 0.35 to hit $73.31 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract fell 0.46% or 0.36 to trade at $77.30 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.24% to 1.11, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.08% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.34% at 101.39.
