Investing.com – Spain stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

The best performers of the session on the were Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria SA (BME:), which rose 3.06% or 0.30 points to trade at 10.24 at the close. Meanwhile, Banco de Sabadell SA (BME:) added 1.88% or 0.04 points to end at 2.06 and Repsol (BME:) was up 1.75% or 0.21 points to 11.90 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Laboratorios Farmaceuticos ROVI (BME:), which fell 8.27% or 5.25 points to trade at 58.25 at the close. SOLARIA ENERGIA Y MEDIO AMBIENTE (BME:) declined 4.13% or 0.33 points to end at 7.67 and International Consolidated Airlines Group SA (BME:) was down 3.64% or 0.14 points to 3.63.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 123 to 74 and 23 ended unchanged.
Shares in Laboratorios Farmaceuticos ROVI (BME:) fell to 52-week lows; falling 8.27% or 5.25 to 58.25. Shares in Banco de Sabadell SA (BME:) rose to 5-year highs; up 1.88% or 0.04 to 2.06. Shares in SOLARIA ENERGIA Y MEDIO AMBIENTE (BME:) fell to 3-years lows; falling 4.13% or 0.33 to 7.67.
Gold Futures for February delivery was down 1.21% or 32.84 to $2,682.16 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March rose 2.35% or 1.78 to hit $77.53 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract rose 1.99% or 1.59 to trade at $81.35 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.23% to 1.02, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.06% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.21% at 109.72.
