Investing.com – Spain stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Madrid, the declined 0.54%.
The best performers of the session on the were Bankinter (BME:), which rose 1.25% or 0.10 points to trade at 8.29 at the close. Meanwhile, Caixabank SA (BME:) added 0.41% or 0.02 points to end at 5.45 and Unicaja Banco SA (BME:) was up 0.37% or 0.01 points to 1.36 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Acciona (BME:), which fell 3.19% or 3.70 points to trade at 112.20 at the close. Fluidra (BME:) declined 2.60% or 0.51 points to end at 19.14 and International Consolidated Airlines Group SA (BME:) was down 2.23% or 0.05 points to 2.02.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 136 to 57 and 25 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for August delivery was down 2.08% or 51.10 to $2,405.30 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 1.85% or 1.50 to hit $79.80 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract fell 1.52% or 1.29 to trade at $83.82 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.07% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.10% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.14% at 104.03.
