Investing.com – Spain stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

The best performers of the session on the were Laboratorios Farmaceuticos ROVI (BME:), which rose 2.89% or 2.40 points to trade at 85.40 at the close. Meanwhile, Aena SME SA (BME:) added 0.59% or 1.10 points to end at 187.70 and Unicaja Banco SA (BME:) was unchanged 0.32% or 0.00 points to 1.27 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were International Consolidated Airlines Group SA (BME:), which fell 2.84% or 0.06 points to trade at 1.93 at the close. ArcelorMittal SA (BME:) declined 2.29% or 0.50 points to end at 21.38 and Merlin Properties SA (BME:) was down 2.28% or 0.24 points to 10.30.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 158 to 47 and 12 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for August delivery was down 0.76% or 17.60 to $2,313.20 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 0.20% or 0.16 to hit $80.67 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract fell 0.04% or 0.03 to trade at $84.19 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.26% to 1.07, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.20% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.40% at 105.68.
