Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the gained 0.93% to hit a new all time high.
The best performers of the session on the were Sandvik AB (ST:), which rose 8.79% or 18.60 points to trade at 230.10 at the close. Meanwhile, Samhallsbyggnadsbolaget i Norden AB (ST:) added 6.41% or 0.32 points to end at 5.28 and Swedbank AB ser A (ST:) was up 4.18% or 9.90 points to 246.70 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Essity AB B (ST:), which fell 6.72% or 20.10 points to trade at 278.80 at the close. Evolution AB (ST:) declined 0.83% or 7.00 points to end at 832.40 and Boliden AB (ST:) was down 0.70% or 2.40 points to 340.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 472 to 290 and 69 ended unchanged.
Shares in Swedbank AB ser A (ST:) rose to all time highs; rising 4.18% or 9.90 to 246.70.
Crude oil for March delivery was down 1.02% or 0.77 to $74.67 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March fell 0.94% or 0.74 to hit $78.26 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.34% or 9.44 to trade at $2,761.46 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.10% to 11.46, while USD/SEK unchanged 0.02% to 11.00.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.05% at 107.91.
