Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the added 1.97% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the were Samhallsbyggnadsbolaget i Norden AB (ST:), which rose 8.68% or 0.43 points to trade at 5.34 at the close. Meanwhile, Sinch AB (ST:) added 5.66% or 1.09 points to end at 20.36 and Kinnevik, Investment AB ser. B (ST:) was up 4.01% or 3.00 points to 78.80 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were AstraZeneca PLC (ST:), which fell 0.21% or 3.00 points to trade at 1,451.50 at the close. Essity AB B (ST:) added 0.10% or 0.30 points to end at 292.10 and SAAB AB ser. B (ST:) was up 0.47% or 1.10 points to 233.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 522 to 228 and 80 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for March delivery was up 2.29% or 1.75 to $78.12 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 1.88% or 1.50 to hit $81.42 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 1.25% or 33.46 to trade at $2,715.76 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.19% to 11.48, while USD/SEK unchanged 0.01% to 11.16.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.12% at 108.98.
