Investing.com – Taiwan stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Taiwan, the gained 0.27%.
The best performers of the session on the were Jenn Feng New Energy Co Ltd (TW:), which rose 9.80% or 1.70 points to trade at 19.05 at the close. Meanwhile, Mercuries Data Systems Ltd (TW:) added 6.92% or 2.00 points to end at 30.90 and Allis Electric Co Ltd (TW:) was up 6.41% or 9.00 points to 149.50 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Lead Data Inc (TW:), which fell 9.85% or 0.39 points to trade at 3.57 at the close. Loop Telecommunication International Inc (TW:) declined 6.94% or 5.40 points to end at 72.40 and Innolux Corp (TW:) was down 6.92% or 1.10 points to 14.80.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Taiwan Stock Exchange by 0 to 0.
Crude oil for August delivery was up 0.52% or 0.42 to $81.25 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.46% or 0.39 to hit $84.61 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.35% or 8.25 to trade at $2,322.55 a troy ounce.
USD/TWD was up 0.28% to 32.57, while TWD/CNY unchanged 0.22% to 0.22.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.10% at 105.36.
