Investing.com – Taiwan stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Taiwan, the rose 1.06%.
The best performers of the session on the were Taimide Tech Inc (TW:), which rose 9.95% or 4.20 points to trade at 46.40 at the close. Meanwhile, Coxon Precise Industrial Co Ltd (TW:) added 9.95% or 1.85 points to end at 20.45 and Huang Hsiang Construction Corp (TW:) was up 9.93% or 5.90 points to 65.30 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Lead Data Inc (TW:), which fell 9.85% or 0.39 points to trade at 3.57 at the close. Oceanic Beverages Co Inc (TW:) declined 8.61% or 1.15 points to end at 12.20 and Arima Communications Corp (TW:) was down 6.45% or 0.20 points to 2.90.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Taiwan Stock Exchange by 0 to 0.
Crude oil for September delivery was down 0.32% or 0.25 to $77.91 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 0.19% or 0.15 to hit $80.89 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.09% or 2.25 to trade at $2,494.65 a troy ounce.
USD/TWD was down 0.30% to 32.31, while TWD/CNY unchanged 0.27% to 0.22.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.07% at 102.74.
