Investing.com – Taiwan stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Taiwan, the rose 1.99%.
The best performers of the session on the were Logah Technology Corp (TW:), which rose 10.00% or 1.75 points to trade at 19.25 at the close. Meanwhile, Aurotek Corp (TW:) added 10.00% or 5.80 points to end at 63.80 and Lite-On Technology Corp (TW:) was up 9.99% or 9.90 points to 109.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Lead Data Inc (TW:), which fell 9.85% or 0.39 points to trade at 3.57 at the close. Ya Horng Electronic Co Ltd (TW:) declined 6.36% or 4.10 points to end at 60.40 and Everlight Electronics Co Ltd (TW:) was down 6.15% or 4.80 points to 73.20.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Taiwan Stock Exchange by 0 to 0.
Crude oil for September delivery was up 0.98% or 0.75 to $77.06 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 0.92% or 0.73 to hit $80.25 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 1.26% or 31.20 to trade at $2,512.00 a troy ounce.
USD/TWD was down 0.16% to 32.74, while TWD/CNY unchanged 0.36% to 0.22.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.19% at 104.00.
