Investing.com – Taiwan stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Taiwan, the gained 2.87%.
The best performers of the session on the were Taimide Tech Inc (TW:), which rose 10.00% or 3.95 points to trade at 43.45 at the close. Meanwhile, Ta Liang Technology Co Ltd (TW:) added 9.99% or 7.10 points to end at 78.20 and China Wire & Cable Co Ltd (TW:) was up 9.96% or 3.70 points to 40.85 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Abonmax Co Ltd (TW:), which fell 9.91% or 2.70 points to trade at 24.55 at the close. Lead Data Inc (TW:) declined 9.85% or 0.39 points to end at 3.57 and Wah Lee Industrial Corp (TW:) was down 9.19% or 12.50 points to 123.50.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Taiwan Stock Exchange by 0 to 0.
Shares in Ta Liang Technology Co Ltd (TW:) rose to 52-week highs; rising 9.99% or 7.10 to 78.20.
Crude oil for September delivery was up 0.52% or 0.40 to $77.24 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 0.35% or 0.28 to hit $79.94 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.02% or 0.50 to trade at $2,473.90 a troy ounce.
USD/TWD was unchanged 0.00% to 32.45, while TWD/CNY unchanged 0.18% to 0.22.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.05% at 103.01.
