Meanwhile, Onano Industrial Corp (TW:) added 9.97% or 4.40 points to end at 48.55 and Orient Semiconductor Electronics Ltd (TW:) was up 9.96% or 3.95 points to 43.60 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Lead Data Inc (TW:), which fell 9.85% or 0.39 points to trade at 3.57 at the close. Jui Li Enterprise Co Ltd (TW:) declined 6.10% or 0.48 points to end at 7.39 and C Sun Manufacturing Ltd (TW:) was down 5.95% or 13.50 points to 213.50.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Taiwan Stock Exchange by 0 to 0.

Crude oil for December delivery was up 1.07% or 0.76 to $71.53 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 0.93% or 0.70 to hit $75.66 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.45% or 12.40 to trade at $2,741.80 a troy ounce.
USD/TWD was down 0.07% to 32.06, while TWD/CNY unchanged 0.14% to 0.22.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.07% at 104.20.
