Investing.com – Taiwan stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Taiwan, the fell 0.16% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the were Arima Communications Corp (TW:), which rose 9.84% or 1.80 points to trade at 20.10 at the close. Meanwhile, Bright Led Electronics Corp (TW:) added 7.86% or 1.65 points to end at 22.65 and Edison Opto Corp (TW:) was up 7.07% or 1.70 points to 25.75 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Kinpo Electronics Inc (TW:), which fell 10.00% or 3.35 points to trade at 30.15 at the close. Daxin Materials Corp (TW:) declined 9.91% or 22.50 points to end at 204.50 and Logah Technology Corp (TW:) was down 9.87% or 0.60 points to 5.48.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Taiwan Stock Exchange by 0 to 0.
Shares in Arima Communications Corp (TW:) rose to 3-years highs; up 9.84% or 1.80 to 20.10. Shares in Logah Technology Corp (TW:) fell to 3-years lows; falling 9.87% or 0.60 to 5.48.
Crude oil for January delivery was up 0.35% or 0.24 to $69.12 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 0.01% or 0.01 to hit $72.79 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.94% or 25.11 to trade at $2,686.61 a troy ounce.
USD/TWD was down 0.08% to 32.54, while TWD/CNY unchanged 0.09% to 0.22.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.26% at 105.86.
