Investing.com – Taiwan stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

The best performers of the session on the were Clevo Co (TW:), which rose 10.00% or 5.50 points to trade at 60.50 at the close. Meanwhile, Formosan Union Chemical Corp (TW:) added 10.00% or 2.30 points to end at 25.30 and Hitron Technologies Inc (TW:) was up 10.00% or 3.20 points to 35.20 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Lead Data Inc (TW:), which fell 9.85% or 0.39 points to trade at 3.57 at the close. Iron Force Industrial Co Ltd (TW:) declined 6.94% or 7.50 points to end at 100.50 and APAQ Technology Co Ltd (TW:) was down 5.71% or 11.00 points to 181.50.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Taiwan Stock Exchange by 0 to 0.
Crude oil for September delivery was down 0.80% or 0.65 to $80.65 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 0.60% or 0.51 to hit $84.60 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 1.25% or 30.70 to trade at $2,425.70 a troy ounce.
USD/TWD was up 0.17% to 32.76, while TWD/CNY unchanged 0.09% to 0.22.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.13% at 104.02.
