The best performers of the session on the were Gordon Auto Body Parts Co Ltd (TW:), which rose 9.95% or 3.65 points to trade at 40.35 at the close. Meanwhile, GEM Services Inc (TW:) added 9.91% or 6.40 points to end at 71.00 and Universal Inc (TW:) was up 9.91% or 3.15 points to 34.95 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were EverFocus Electronics Corp (TW:), which fell 6.48% or 4.40 points to trade at 63.50 at the close. Loop Telecommunication International Inc (TW:) declined 6.44% or 5.10 points to end at 74.10 and Jentech Precision Industrial Co Ltd (TW:) was down 6.05% or 95.00 points to 1,475.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Taiwan Stock Exchange by 0 to 0.
Crude oil for February delivery was up 0.05% or 0.04 to $73.36 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 0.08% or 0.06 to hit $76.22 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.15% or 3.90 to trade at $2,676.30 a troy ounce.
USD/TWD was up 0.16% to 32.94, while TWD/CNY unchanged 0.18% to 0.22.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.03% at 108.96.
