Investing.com – Taiwan stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

The best performers of the session on the were Scientech Corp (TW:), which rose 9.95% or 38.00 points to trade at 420.00 at the close. Meanwhile, I-Hwa Industrial Co Ltd (TW:) added 9.86% or 2.15 points to end at 23.95 and Danen Technology Corp (TW:) was up 9.85% or 2.70 points to 30.10 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Paragon Technologies Co Ltd (TW:), which fell 9.96% or 3.55 points to trade at 32.10 at the close. Tung Ho Textile Co Ltd (TW:) declined 9.92% or 2.55 points to end at 23.15 and Lead Data Inc (TW:) was down 9.85% or 0.39 points to 3.57.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Taiwan Stock Exchange by 0 to 0.
Shares in I-Hwa Industrial Co Ltd (TW:) rose to 52-week highs; rising 9.86% or 2.15 to 23.95.
Crude oil for September delivery was up 0.53% or 0.42 to $79.06 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.59% or 0.49 to hit $83.12 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.20% or 4.80 to trade at $2,403.90 a troy ounce.
USD/TWD was up 0.29% to 32.89, while TWD/CNY unchanged 0.27% to 0.22.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.06% at 104.05.
