Investing.com – Taiwan stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Taiwan, the fell 2.68% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the were Danen Technology Corp (TW:), which rose 9.97% or 3.00 points to trade at 33.10 at the close. Meanwhile, Evertex Fabrinology Ltd (TW:) added 9.87% or 1.95 points to end at 21.70 and Sino Horizon Holdings Ltd (TW:) was up 8.79% or 2.50 points to 30.95 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Hitron Technologies Inc (TW:), which fell 9.99% or 3.65 points to trade at 32.90 at the close. Lead Data Inc (TW:) declined 9.85% or 0.39 points to end at 3.57 and I-Hwa Industrial Co Ltd (TW:) was down 9.81% or 2.35 points to 21.60.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Taiwan Stock Exchange by 0 to 0.
Shares in Danen Technology Corp (TW:) rose to 3-years highs; gaining 9.97% or 3.00 to 33.10. Shares in Evertex Fabrinology Ltd (TW:) rose to 52-week highs; rising 9.87% or 1.95 to 21.70.
Crude oil for September delivery was down 0.14% or 0.11 to $78.29 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 0.07% or 0.06 to hit $82.34 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.08% or 1.85 to trade at $2,392.85 a troy ounce.
USD/TWD was down 0.10% to 32.81, while TWD/CNY unchanged 0.09% to 0.22.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.04% at 104.00.
