Investing.com – Taiwan stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Taiwan, the declined 3.29% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the were Chia Her Industrial Co Ltd (TW:), which rose 10.00% or 1.95 points to trade at 21.45 at the close. Meanwhile, Hsin Ba Ba Corp (TW:) added 10.00% or 16.50 points to end at 181.50 and Cheer Time Enterprise Co Ltd (TW:) was up 9.96% or 2.75 points to 30.35 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Weikeng Industrial Co Ltd (TW:), which fell 10.08% or 3.80 points to trade at 33.90 at the close. Airtac International Group (TW:) declined 10.00% or 97.00 points to end at 873.00 and C Sun Manufacturing Ltd (TW:) was down 9.89% or 22.50 points to 205.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Taiwan Stock Exchange by 0 to 0.
Shares in Hsin Ba Ba Corp (TW:) rose to all time highs; rising 10.00% or 16.50 to 181.50.
Crude oil for September delivery was up 0.58% or 0.45 to $77.61 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 0.65% or 0.52 to hit $80.80 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.53% or 12.85 to trade at $2,440.75 a troy ounce.
USD/TWD was up 0.06% to 32.83, while TWD/CNY unchanged 0.00% to 0.22.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.04% at 104.01.
