Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the added 1.89%.
The best performers of the session on the were Enerya Enerji AS (IS:), which rose 10.00% or 20.20 points to trade at 222.20 at the close. Meanwhile, Izdemir Enerji Elektrik Uretim AS (IS:) added 6.51% or 1.27 points to end at 20.78 and Girisim Elektrik Taahhut Ticaret & Sanayi AS (IS:) was up 5.22% or 2.22 points to 44.72 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Oba Makarnacilik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:), which fell 9.35% or 3.32 points to trade at 32.18 at the close. Kocaer Celik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:) declined 5.65% or 2.38 points to end at 39.72 and Baticim Bati Anadolu Cimento Sanayi AS (IS:) was down 5.46% or 12.30 points to 213.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 329 to 222 and 28 ended unchanged.
Shares in Enerya Enerji AS (IS:) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 10.00% or 20.20 to 222.20. Shares in Oba Makarnacilik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:) fell to all time lows; losing 9.35% or 3.32 to 32.18.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.64% or 16.65 to $2,592.25 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 1.22% or 0.84 to hit $69.86 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 0.99% or 0.72 to trade at $73.47 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.36% to 34.10, while EUR/TRY rose 0.17% to 37.91.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.18% at 100.61.
