Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the fell 0.90%.
The best performers of the session on the were Sekerbank TAS (IS:), which rose 5.62% or 0.29 points to trade at 5.45 at the close. Meanwhile, Cvk Maden Isletmeleri Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:) added 4.73% or 15.00 points to end at 332.00 and MLP Saglik Hizmetleri AS (IS:) was up 4.02% or 15.00 points to 388.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Batisoke Soke Cimento Sanayi TAS (IS:), which fell 5.31% or 0.62 points to trade at 11.05 at the close. Baticim Bati Anadolu Cimento Sanayi AS (IS:) declined 4.09% or 5.80 points to end at 135.90 and Arcelik AS (IS:) was down 3.85% or 5.50 points to 137.20.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 410 to 156 and 15 ended unchanged.
Shares in Sekerbank TAS (IS:) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 5.62% or 0.29 to 5.45. Shares in Batisoke Soke Cimento Sanayi TAS (IS:) fell to 52-week lows; losing 5.31% or 0.62 to 11.05.
Gold Futures for February delivery was up 1.56% or 42.11 to $2,732.91 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in February rose 3.87% or 2.86 to hit $76.78 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract rose 3.67% or 2.82 to trade at $79.74 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.24% to 35.41, while EUR/TRY fell 0.03% to 36.37.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.26% at 109.29.
