Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the fell 5.54% to hit a new 3-months low.
The best performers of the session on the were Alfa Solar Enerji AS (IS:), which fell 1.57% or 1.05 points to trade at 65.90 at the close. Meanwhile, Enerjisa Enerji AS (IS:) fell 1.57% or 1.05 points to end at 66.00 and Turk Telekomunikasyon AS (IS:) was down 2.20% or 1.10 points to 48.90 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Kontrolmatik Teknoloji Enerji ve Mu (IS:), which fell 10.00% or 5.95 points to trade at 53.55 at the close. Reeder Teknoloji Sanayi Ve Ticaret AS (IS:) declined 9.96% or 3.62 points to end at 32.74 and Sdt Uzay ve Savunma Teknolojileri AS (IS:) was down 9.59% or 28.25 points to 266.25.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 550 to 18 and 5 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.97% or 23.90 to $2,445.90 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 0.41% or 0.30 to hit $73.22 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract fell 0.31% or 0.24 to trade at $76.57 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.68% to 33.39, while EUR/TRY rose 0.84% to 36.67.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.58% at 102.39.
