The best performers of the session on the were Salesforce Inc (NYSE:), which rose 1.37% or 4.05 points to trade at 298.77 at the close. Meanwhile, Home Depot Inc (NYSE:) added 0.75% or 2.94 points to end at 395.53 and Chevron Corp (NYSE:) was up 0.53% or 0.81 points to 153.88 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Intel Corporation (NASDAQ:), which fell 2.98% or 0.69 points to trade at 22.51 at the close. Dow Inc (NYSE:) declined 2.34% or 1.15 points to end at 47.83 and Unitedhealth Group (NYSE:) was down 1.84% or 10.46 points to 557.11.
The top performers on the S&P 500 were The Mosaic Company (NYSE:) which rose 5.67% to 28.42, First Solar Inc (NASDAQ:) which was up 4.70% to settle at 214.58 and Enphase Energy Inc (NASDAQ:) which gained 4.07% to close at 86.94.
The worst performers were Constellation Energy Corp (NASDAQ:) which was down 12.33% to 226.28 in late trade, Public Service Enterprise Group Inc (NYSE:) which lost 7.08% to settle at 81.13 and Zoetis Inc (NYSE:) which was down 3.78% to 175.07 at the close.
The top performers on the NASDAQ Composite were Simpple Ltd (NASDAQ:) which rose 244.00% to 1.10, Nuwellis Inc (NASDAQ:) which was up 99.63% to settle at 2.71 and Staffing 360 Solutions Inc (NASDAQ:) which gained 74.42% to close at 3.00.
The worst performers were E. W. Scripps Co Class A (NASDAQ:) which was down 35.94% to 2.26 in late trade, GlucoTrack Inc (NASDAQ:) which lost 35.03% to settle at 1.15 and Triller Group Inc (NASDAQ:) which was down 31.40% to 2.94 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the New York Stock Exchange by 1577 to 1217 and 48 ended unchanged; on the Nasdaq Stock Exchange, 1675 fell and 1599 advanced, while 79 ended unchanged.
Shares in Dow Inc (NYSE:) fell to 52-week lows; losing 2.34% or 1.15 to 47.83.
The , which measures the implied volatility of S&P 500 options, was up 1.78% to 22.27.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.08% or 2.30 to $2,746.90 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 3.12% or 2.17 to hit $71.66 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract rose 2.97% or 2.17 to trade at $75.27 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.39% to 1.09, while USD/JPY fell 0.55% to 152.14.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.38% at 103.81.
