Investing.com – Belgium stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Brussels, the lost 0.39%.
The best performers of the session on the were UCB SA (EBR:), which rose 1.04% or 1.60 points to trade at 155.90 at the close. Meanwhile, Melexis NV (EBR:) added 0.50% or 0.40 points to end at 80.00 and Proximus NV (EBR:) was up 0.38% or 0.03 points to 6.66 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Syensqo SA (EBR:), which fell 2.13% or 1.50 points to trade at 69.00 at the close. Aperam SA (AS:) declined 1.96% or 0.50 points to end at 25.04 and Solvay SA (EBR:) was down 1.61% or 0.50 points to 30.53.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Brussels Stock Exchange by 66 to 32 and 15 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.06% or 1.40 to $2,542.70 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 0.41% or 0.30 to hit $73.36 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract fell 0.42% or 0.33 to trade at $77.33 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.20% to 1.11, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.07% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.30% at 101.42.
