Investing.com – Italy stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the lost 0.18%.
The best performers of the session on the were Tenaris SA (BIT:), which rose 2.35% or 0.33 points to trade at 14.35 at the close. Meanwhile, STMicroelectronics (BIT:) added 1.57% or 0.57 points to end at 36.88 and Unipol Gruppo Finanziario Spa (BIT:) was up 1.37% or 0.13 points to 9.28 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Brunello Cucinelli (BIT:), which fell 3.66% or 3.55 points to trade at 93.50 at the close. Terna Rete Elettrica Nazionale SpA (BIT:) declined 1.66% or 0.12 points to end at 7.22 and Bper Banca SpA (BIT:) was down 1.65% or 0.08 points to 4.72.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 258 to 214 and 56 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for August delivery was down 0.10% or 0.08 to $81.66 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 0.11% or 0.09 to hit $85.17 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.18% or 4.25 to trade at $2,340.85 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.10% to 1.07, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.11% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.02% at 105.54.
