“The View” co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin took a swipe at her co-hosts on Thursday while reminding them that some of them defended Graham Platner despite his Nazi-linked tattoo.

Griffin said the panel had debated Platner’s candidacy at length, and said the whole saga was making it harder for the Democratic Party to win the Maine Senate seat.

Joy Behar said candidate controversies didn’t make things harder for Republicans, as Griffin also noted that Ken Paxton was not someone she would support in Texas.

“Why do you think that is? Why do you think the Republicans fall in line and the Democrats have to fall in love and the Republicans are constantly claiming to be the party of family values and morality,” co-host Sunny Hostin asked.

Hostin said she would support Platner multiple times in the last few months, despite news of many controversies, including the Nazi-linked tattoo. However, she said Platner should exit the race after he faced multiple allegations of sexual abuse.

“I don’t know that I’m convinced either party puts up the best people. I’m just going to be honest. I love you guys, but a lot of you guys defended a guy with a Nazi tattoo who was credibly accused of a number of things,” Griffin responded.

Behar said, “Don’t look at me, I did not.”

“I did, but I didn’t know most of his background,” Hostin responded.

Co-host Whoopi Goldberg claimed she didn’t know it was a Nazi tattoo and that no one told her.

“I didn’t see that tattoo as a Nazi thing. No one ever told me that tattoo – what that was,” she said.

The co-hosts also debated Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., as a potential 2028 candidate for the Democratic Party.

Griffin argued that if AOC became the Democratic nominee that Secretary of State Marco Rubio, who is considered a potential Republican frontrunner, would be sworn in 2028.

Behar agreed and said it was because the U.S. did not want to elect a woman to the presidency.

“They don’t want to see a powerful woman in that position for some reason,” she said.

Co-host Sara Haines listed several candidates she liked, including former Biden Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg.

Hostin wondered if the country would elect Buttigieg, as she and Behar said they couldn’t afford to try it.
