Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the rose 0.17%.
The best performers of the session on the were Turkiye Sigorta AS (IS:), which rose 3.17% or 0.38 points to trade at 12.38 at the close. Meanwhile, BIM Birlesik Magazalar AS (IS:) added 3.01% or 18.00 points to end at 615.50 and Haci Omer Sabanci Holding AS (IS:) was up 2.78% or 2.60 points to 96.20 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Baticim Bati Anadolu Cimento Sanayi AS (IS:), which fell 8.45% or 18.00 points to trade at 195.00 at the close. Borusan Birlesik Boru Fabrikalari Sanayi Ve Ticaret AS (IS:) declined 4.89% or 27.00 points to end at 525.00 and Hektas Ticaret TAS (IS:) was down 4.25% or 0.18 points to 4.06.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 378 to 177 and 22 ended unchanged.
Shares in Hektas Ticaret TAS (IS:) fell to 52-week lows; falling 4.25% or 0.18 to 4.06.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.27% or 7.05 to $2,599.45 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 0.61% or 0.43 to hit $69.53 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 0.66% or 0.49 to trade at $73.21 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.03% to 34.09, while EUR/TRY rose 0.04% to 37.90.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.04% at 100.61.
